Midway between Penzance and St Ives near the ancient village of Ludgvan, overlooking Mount's Bay and five minutes drive from its many magnificent beaches and coves, are five exceptional detached self-contained luxury holiday homes.
St Michael's Farmhouse sleeps 6+ and has stunning sea views overlooking Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount (NT). A spacious period house especially magical at Christmas or for out of season breaks, with a log burner and full central heating. The house is separated from the other properties by a small country road. Guests may enjoy a tour of the owner's gardens.
The Little Barn, The Cabin, The Tea House and The Shepherds's Hut sleep 2-3+ with unique features and stunning location on the edge of a wild valley. A 4+ acre estate comprises a sub-tropical woodland garden of terraced lawns with many rare and exotic plants from around the world, a large lily pool with BBQ area and seating, a grotto and two impressive standing stones. Within the wild valley there is mature woodland with wildlife ponds, a stream and waterfalls. The Little Barn overlooks the gardens with distant sea views, The Cabin enjoys a woodland setting in an elevated but sheltered position, The Tea House overlooks the lily pond and wild valley beyond and The Shepherds Hut is set in our very own cider orchard. Not surprisingly this is a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Set apart and unseen from each other, private and secluded, a haven of tranquility behind high gates and thick hedges, they offer a rare opportunity to experience a peaceful retreat in which to relax and unwind from the cares of the modern-day world. A wildlife haven, the garden was created by the owner, a local artist, who lives in a nearby property and encourages guests to explore and enjoy its many delights.

Here was the freedom I desired - long sought for, not yet known. Freedom to write, to walk, to wander; freedom to climb hills, to pull a boat, to be alone.
The words of Daphne du Maurier have a special resonance for all those who visit this part of Cornwall. This is a land apart - a land of surprising contrasts: of awesome dramatic cliffs and tranquil river valleys; of wide open spaces and intimate sheltered harbours; of deserted beaches and picturesque fishing villages; of surging seas and meandering rivers. With barely fifteen miles separating the north and south coasts, it is a region criss-crossed with country lanes, offering unexpected delights round every corner. This is the Cornwall of myth and legend - a secret unspoilt paradise - and we welcome you.

Thank you Sue for a wonderful break and a perfectly set honeymoon! What a beautiful place, you have been so welcoming and Little Barn so comfortable, only the possibility of coming back makes leaving OK although next time we would spend less time dashing about and more in your spectacular garden.
London
A thoroughly enjoyable break; we rekindled our acquaintance with some old haunts and enjoyed the garden and food in some excellent local restaurants. The Little Barn is as welcoming as ever and this is our 7th year!

Our third year at Little Barn, it's now like coming home; fast becoming an annual necessity. Lovely to see Cornwall in the spring: quiet roads, blankets of golden moorlands and striking bird life around Little Barn.
Oxford
Absolutely fab base for our holiday. Fantastic beaches. Porthcurno is a must. And Mousehole tiny little fishing village - did not think we would get the car down the tiny roads. Thanks Sue for such a warm welcome.
Suffolk
Didn't want to go, so much beauty and peace, rest like I haven't felt before. We loved the cubby atmosphere, the drives, gardens, sky at night - remember forever. Thanks Sue for all your help and advice.

Sue's vision, artistry and foresight are amazing in the creation of The Cabin. My physical (and probably mental) getaway from it all.

The most wonderful secluded position over lovely hillside with the glory of The Red River valley spread out before us what more could we want.
London
Absolutely idyllic cabin, so much better than we had anticipated. We agree with everything that has been written in the Visitors Book. We will be back.
New Malden
The Cabin is the place to be to find rest in both nature and culture. We specially enjoyed your Old English "stuff" and the respect for the past. Thanks for your hospitality. This is the place to be.

We said we would be back and we are. Wonderful week, we shall return.

Wonderful natural setting, loved feeding the pheasants each morning. The White Hart is a wonderful old pub with great English atmosphere and log fire.
Gloucestershire
Fantastic Cabin - beyond our expectations. Absolutely gorgeous. Peaceful. A real treat to see rabbits and squirrels every day, not to mention the pheasants. Can't believe we hand fed a wild pheasant. We will definitely be back
West Yorkshire
Very quiet and peaceful with just the rabbits for company. Appreciated the night-lites and matches during the power cut. Recommend the 345 and 346 buses around the coast for one way walking along the coastal path. Thanks for a lovely week.
Bucks
So enjoyed the comfort of The Cabin and tranquil surroundings - lovely to have wood inside and out.
London
Fantastic spot like being in Farthing Wood and the lily pool and gardens are amazing.
Auckland N.Z.
A nice homely place to stay, wonderful views and very quiet in beautiful countryside. We explored the St Michaels Way, Tinners Way walks and the coastal paths and had a very good time for a fortnight. In one of the wettest summers ever, it was remarkably dry and sunny.
